Where did the summer go?
Holy Crap! It's September!
What grand plans I had for this summer. This was going to be the year that I got all the projects around the house finished. I was going to be productive and get things done.
Here's what happened:
Memorial Day weekend:
- 3 weddings, of which I performed 2. All very close friends so time well spent.
June:
- The Revolution... 'Nuff said.
- Medley of Mud. God I love hashing with Richmond! I need to find a way to spend more time up there. What a outstanding group.
July:
- I did manage to get the garage cleaned out over the 4th. Good thing that it was a long weekend as I used all of it.
- Wasted a weekend at TriF*ckta and at the same time failed to ingratiate myself to my wife and a dear friend. I did manage to atone for my foul mood, but could have easily stayed home and got pissed off at whatever project I may have tried to tackle.
August:
- Camp Clearfork. What a road trip! What a great venue for hashing! What a great group of folks to hang out with!
- Trip to Ft Worth and a chance to hang out with some great DFWH3 folks.
Labor Day weekend:
- Again, grand plans for getting work done. My dear friend Pam came down to visit. So much for getting work done, but it rained and I wouldn't have gotten anything done anyway. Besides, given the chance to spend a weekend with Terri and Pam or working... Well, let's just say that this was a good weekend. We hashed, we went out, we watched the race, it was a good weekend.
So now fall is upon us, and maybe I'll be productive over the winter...
Or maybe I'll just spend my time with people I love and let the rest of the cards fall where they may... Some folks might call that irresponsible. I see it as a source of true happiness.
